I have thought long and hard before writing this review, fearing that I couldn't quite communicate how special this oil is, how luxurious it feels to use and what a difference it makes to my mood, my sense of wellbeing and my skin.
I did expect to enjoy The Goddess of Protection as I do enjoy using body oils and I have tried so many that I would say I enjoy. However, I have never tried another oil that I have fallen so intensely in love with from the first use, nor one that has had such an impact on how I feel, that has made me feel quite quite so soothed, quite so comforted, quite so uplifted and positive as The Goddess of Protection does. There really does feel something incredibly powerful, reassuring and meditative about this formula. Whether it is the heavenly, soft, earthy and slightly woody scent or the way this luxurious oil comforts, nourishes and balances my skin, I just know that I wouldn't want to change one single thing about it. It is simply everything I could ever want in a body oil and so, so much more.
As someone who really struggles with strong scents, I find the scent level in Goddess of Protection to be absolutely perfect for me. It is soft and enveloping, a comforting embrace. There is no sharpness, no hard edges, no excessive sweetness, just a soft, earthy, very soothing cloud of scent that is enough to uplift and feel sensuous and powerful in the moment but that dissipates and does not linger strongly on the skin. I really appreciate this quality. I also think that quality shines through every single detail of this oil, from the formulation and exquisite ingredients to the thoughtfully designed glass bottle with beautiful artwork and very effective pump dispenser.
